I went to the local Rock Quarry on Guadalupe Road between Gilbert and Stapley (southside). I told them I was teaching this lesson and asked if I could buy 25 river rocks about 6 - 8 inches in size. They let me go in the quarry and pick out the rocks free of charge. I then had the students use markers to draw a picture of something they would want people in the future to know about our time.
For a treat, you could give them Pop Rocks. I gave them each a bag of homemade rock candy.
