Apples and Oranges |
2nd Grade Lesson Plan
The class will be broken into six groups according to color. (One red, one orange, etc.) The students will be presented with a visual aides, from the Cézanne's works, one by one. As each picture is presented the groups will be asked to decide on a letter to guess for their team's turn. The letter they will be guessing will be the title. The game is kind of a combo of hangman and wheel of fortune. If the letter fits, they will get another turn. The goal will be to solve all the puzzles successfully. The chalkboard will be used to record letters and the score. The students will be looking at the artwork while trying to determine the title. This will allow them to visualize the piece during the whole round, and there will be a greater tendency for the children to remember it.
