Leonardo Attention Grabber
Took mini pumpkins (could use anything) put a few around the class. Gave each student small ball of orange clay to sculpt pumpkin. While sculpting spoke about Leo., life and interests. Next children were asked to sketch pumpkins. Leonardo thought drawing and painting were more demanding than sculpting. Let students use their own thoughts to decide which they liked best and thought more demanding.
