1st Grade Lesson Plan
I used a map of New York City to compare to the picture. The kids were able to identify lots of parallels:
* cubes looked like buildings
* lines were streets
* blue outline = water around Manhattan Island
I gave the kids each four starburst in different colors to remind them of cubism. They made different shapes built with cubes.
The kids also used primary color Duplos to build cube shapes.
